“Super Fruits” Are Common Sense

It’s important to eat at least five or six times a day to keep your energy levels high.

The problem is, most folks who focus on healthy main meals, have unhealthy snacks in between.

However, good nutrition doesn’t work that way. Eliminating unhealthy snacks could be the key for your own body transformation.

Here is three super fruit snack alternatives to fuel your body and keep your metabolism churning:

    • Grapefruit – With more nutrient per calorie than apples, and more than 100 percent of the daily recommended intake of vitamin C, eating grapefruit can prevent against ward off illness and anti-aging.The high water content in grapefruit, in combination with certain enzymes and acids, also help get your internal organs working.

 

    • Avocado – Avocados help with growth and development of the brain and nervous system, thanks to their high concentration of unsaturated fats.Avocados provide nearly 20 essential nutrients, including fiber, potassium, vitamin E, B-vitamins and folic acid. They also act as a “nutrient booster” by enabling the body to absorb more fat-soluble nutrients.

 

  • Prunes – With twice as much potassium as a banana and packed with anti-oxidants, eating prunes can help maintain healthy blood pressure.Loaded with vitamin A and K, prunes are also a good source of dietary fiber, with 100 grams of prunes containing approximately 6.1 grams of fiber.The health benefits of prunes may be linked to their high concentration of the trace element boron which is believed by some researchers to prevent osteoporosis and osteopenia (weak bones).

    Also, the potassium found in prunes may help support bone health. Prunes can also keep you looking young, even though they look wrinkly.

Fact is most fruit is good for you. Most fruit is also super tasty.

So make it a habit to pile up on fruit. Swap out snack chips and chocolate bars for grapefruit and avocado. You’ll get a super snack that fuels your body.
