Charlotte Sports Specific Training

All of HSPT programs are designed from Optimum Performance Training Model (OPT), but even here we get much more specific with advance training. This level of service is ideal for martial artist, football, baseball, soccer, track and field, wrestling, mixed martial artist, basketball, kayaking, or any general athlete that is really looking to take their performance to the next level.

  • We start with a foundational CORE CONDITIONING program. In this phase of your training we assess and develop the strength, endurance, and application of abdominal and lower back muscles in “neutral” (low risk) environments.
  • Then we develop your abilities to move in multiple planes: INTEGRATED NEUROMUSCULAR STABILIZATION. When most people train they do so predominately in the saggital plane (front-to-back movements). This is a great training program if you’re a bowler… but most sports require multi-plane movements that must be executed instantaneously, such as twisting/rotating, saggital, frontal, transverse etc. Remember, 40-60 percent of sports related injuries occur in the transverse plane! The BEST way to avoid these injuries in the transverse plane is by TRAINING in the transverse plane.
  • Finally, we will develop the POWER and AGILITY needed to get you to your peak performance: INTEGRATIVE REACTIVE NEUROMUSCULAR TRAINING. Researchers have proven that any execution of movement of the extremities, such as the arms or legs, is preceded by a contraction of the core musculatures by 50-110 milliseconds. We’ll build on the foundational training from steps 1 and 2 to train you to generate tremendous power, explosive acceleration, and the ability to change direction instantly.
